This place was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. A very chilled vibe with absolutely delicious dishes on offer.

It is almost impossible to attain a 5 star review from me ... Salt receives it easily. It was our anniversary and I booked Salt online, with the request for a romantic table, stating the occassion. Arrived and seated in a beautifully secluded section. The service was attentive, without being overbearing. The choice was reasonable, with the food delivered hot and timed to perfection. The flavours, freshness and portion size was excellent. Fantastic entree, followed by sensational main, and a shared desert. At the end of the meal - went to pay and was pleasantly surprised by the bill as the desert had been comped (free), as stated ... as a happy anniversary surprise. I will be returning soon - the overall experience was memorable and a beautiful finish to our anniversary

This a wonderful restaurant where a lot of thought and prep is put into the dishes which shines through in the delicious flavours. The sides are as delicious as the mains. Thoroughly recommended and will be back. Booking ahead definitely advised.

Had a wonderful dinner out at Salt last night. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and classy without being stuffy. The restaurant was full but our group could easily converse which was great, place was very much alive and we didn’t feel cramped or overwhelmed with noise. The tiered layout really works in this regard, enjoyed the aesthetic of the spaces created. Service was fast, friendly and attentive, a real fine dining experience without any pretentiousness. Portion sizes are spot on, prices are fair and you can tell the food is crafted with passion. Thankyou Salt crew for a delightful evening out in Warrnambool. We will be back.

Holy smoke, best restaurant in Victoria. By far the best outting ive had in a long time, It all began with the service, "professional, polite & formal" thank you waitstaff . THE FOOD, wow. Complements to chef's & kitchen hand's. And all the food, ever meal, for example the bread, "simple" but omg, it was dense and with the whipped butter, creamy a perfect combination. It felt like was eaten cake. Amazing flavours, combination of ingredients and yet a simple but divine menu, it will leave your mouth watering long after you've left. The most satisfying $250 I've spent on dinner forever. $84 for the three course + a couple of sides & drinks. Well worth every cent. Amanda and I are looking forward & would be honoured to attend another appointment i mean table, na booking for two here. Everything was great, the ambience, lighting and sound, a soft casual music with a touch sensitivity lentern ( i prefer a clapper, it wasn't changing much when I was clapping)

We travelled to Warrnambool on a rare child-free trip, and I could tell early on that Salt Warrnambool would be one of those restaurants I’ll think about for months and years afterwards. The portions were perfect and every course was absolutely delicious. The menu was creative and really well put together, and the cocktail list was just as impressive. Even though the staff were busy, we were really well looked after the whole time. And the playlist was honestly excellent — hit after hit — like our own playlist was being played in the background. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Following a gap of five years, I returned to the restaurant. This year, we made it a point to try local lobster. I was not disappointed with the outcome. The service was also excellent. All the food tasted exceptionally good.

Short version: Eat here, the food is incredible!!!! Long version: top 3 places we have ever eaten. What we ate: A la carte 1. Bread with whipped butter and dukkah 2. Ragu pasta 3. 300g scotch fillet with potato skin 4. Gnocci with vodka sauce 5. Sticky date pudding with Butterscotch sauce and ice cream Everything was delicious. The textures of the potato skin with the perfectly cooked steak and the best mushroom sauce we have ever eaten. It was full of flavours and it all complimented each other perfectly. The vodka sauce gnocchi was topped with crunchy hazelnuts and extra sauce, and let me tell you, I think I have a new favourite food. We cannot speak more highly of the food and the two women working on the night of 31/07 were so friendly, attentive, offered options, went through the menu, and always checked in with us. This won’t be the last time we dine at Salt! Sorry about the quality of the photos, we were just so excited to eat
